November 2010 - Gender and Myocardial Hypertrophy Symposium in Berlin

This symposium is jointly organised by a DFG research group, EUGeneHeart, and the Institute of Gender in Medicine (GIM) in Berlin, and it will take place 26 and 27 November.
EUGeneHeart funding has led to a successful spin-off project of our Partner in Berlin. The data generated in the Task "Gender aspects of beneficial versus maladaptive hypertrophy" led to the DFG-sponsored research group "Sex-specific mechanisms in left-ventricular hypertrophy" (FOR 1054) in 2008, where seven well-known Berlin research groups are cooperating. It is funded until 2011, and prolongation until 2014 is intended.

At the symposium, internationally renowned researchers will give insight in their recent findings. Don't miss this opportunity!
